15 Seconds at a Time: First-Year Interest Groups [video]

In this video, and executive director LeAnne Wiles takes on the challenge of explaining the in less than 15 seconds at a time. 鈥�15 Seconds at a Time鈥� is a series in which various Undergraduate Academic Affairs programs explain their work in bite-sized bursts.

First-year Interest Groups offer incoming first-year students the chance to take a group of classes together during their first quarter at the 天美影视传媒. This cornerstone experience for new students supports their transition to the UW, through small, intentional learning communities.

FIGs help undergraduates create an academic community, develop a network and find a mentor.
