- You鈥檙e investing in the University. A portion of every sale supports UW student scholarships, athletic programs and campus initiatives. (For example, if you buy a licensed T-shirt, about $2.25 from your purchase could come back to the University, based on the shirt鈥檚 wholesale value.) You鈥檙e helping create more opportunities for current and future Huskies when you wear your favorite licensed purple-and-gold gear.
- You’re buying from socially responsible partners. Our licensees are required to respect workers鈥� rights and be transparent about their supply chain. Read more about our labor code of conduct, which upholds standards for working conditions, health and safety, the environment, collective bargaining and human rights. Some of our licensees and their manufacturing partners go above and beyond these standards, from offering educational scholarships for workers鈥� children to creating financial empowerment programs. Since 2001, a UW advisory committee of faculty, students, staff and administrators holds licensees accountable and investigates violations of the code. So when you buy officially licensed gear, you can be confident your money will be used ethically.
