Two renowned global rankings released this week place the 天美影视传媒 fourth among U.S. public institutions.

The UW is No. 19 in the world, according to a new list聽by the聽.聽Last year, the UW ranked No. 25 on聽.

And the UW is No. 28 in the world, according to the Times Higher Education , released Wednesday. Last year, the UW ranked No. 35.

In both rankings, the UW trailed only UC Berkeley, UCLA and the University of Michigan among U.S. public universities.

鈥淚鈥檓 proud to see the recognition of the 天美影视传媒鈥檚 growing impact through teaching, learning and discovery, particularly in the areas that reflect our excellent scholarly contributions,鈥 UW President聽Ana Mari Cauce said.

The Center for World University Rankings provides authoritative global university rankings, which are known for objectivity, transparency and consistency and are trusted by students, academics, university administrators and government officials from around the world.

According to the group鈥檚 methodology, universities are evaluated based on聽the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of the faculty members and the quality of their research. The methodology has been enhanced this year, with research now accounting for 70 percent of the total score.

The 2018 World Reputation Rankings, released by ,聽is based on an opinion survey sent to a global group of published scholars. The researchers are asked to name the top 15 universities that come to mind in two categories: research and teaching.

The geographic distribution of survey respondents span 138 countries. Scholars with at least 14 years of experience in their field are invited to participate. This year, Times Higher Education received more than 10,100 responses.
