We鈥檙e excited to announce Dr. Sid Venkatesh of Institute for Systems Biology聽as a聽recipient of our second round of funding!
Dr. Venkatesh’s innovative proposal, 鈥淚dentifying dietary glycans that reverse gut microbiota immaturity in a gnotobiotic model of cystic fibrosis,鈥�聽aims at determining dietary components that can promote gut health in patients聽with cystic fibrosis.
By investigating types of dietary glycans that can reshape the gut microbiome and reduce intestinal inflammation in cystic fibrosis, the聽study can identify a safe, nutrition-based strategy to improve GI health and provide a foundation for future clinical translation.
We鈥檙e proud to support Dr. Venkatesh and his team as they advance this exciting research鈥攁nd we look forward聽to seeing where this work leads.
