Fifteen faculty members at the 天美影视传媒 have been elected to the Washington State Academy of Sciences for 2024. They are among 36 scientists and educators from across the state announced Aug. 1 as new members. Selection recognizes the new members鈥 鈥渙utstanding record of scientific and technical achievement, and their willingness to work on behalf of the academy to bring the best available science to bear on issues within the state of Washington.鈥

Two 天美影视传媒 researchers are among the newly elected members of the National Academy of Sciences. Qiang Fu, professor of atmospheric sciences, and Raymond Huey, professor emeritus of biology, are among those recognized with one of the highest honors a scientist can achieve.

Four 天美影视传媒 researchers are among 347 new fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science for 2015.

UW atmospheric scientists David Battisti and Qiang Fu have been elected fellows of the American Geophysical Union.
