Celebrating the reopening of historic Denny Hall
Last week, the College of Arts & Sciences and Office of External Affairs celebrated the reopening of the UW’s historic Denny Hall. The building underwent extensive restoration beginning in summer 2015 and reopened to students, faculty and staff this autumn. UW regional dental program wins top national award
The UW’s Regional Initiatives in Dental Education (RIDE) program has received a top national award in dental education. This groundbreaking School of Dentistry program began in 2008 and seeks to improve access to dental care in rural and underserved areas of Washington state. On Monday, the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) announced that the UW is the recipient of the 2017 William J. Gies Award for Vision by an Academic Dental Institution. In recognition of the launch of the university鈥檚聽Be Boundless 鈥� For Washington, For the World聽philanthropic campaign, Governor Jay Inslee, King County Executive Dow Constantine, and City of Spokane Mayor David Condon offered their support in proclamations and a salutation, recognizing聽October 21, 2016 as 鈥淭ogether UW Day.鈥�

Campus Master Plan draft available for review
The 2018 Draft Seattle Campus Master Plan provides the framework for the 天美影视传媒’s future campus development. Progressive and sustainable, it balances the preservation of the core campus with the need to accommodate increasing density. The plan integrates the UW’s academic, research, and service missions with its capital plan objectives.
