Representatives of the National League of Cities will take time from their national conference in downtown Seattle today to learn about the innovative ,聽a 4-Year strategic initiative between the community, the University, and the City of Seattle to work toward the betterment of the U District neighborhood, both now and in the decades ahead.

Jazz great Bill Frisell joins School of Music
Bill Frisell, one of modern jazz鈥檚 premier guitarists,has joined the in the School of Music as an affiliate professor and will interact with jazz students and faculty when he鈥檚 home in Seattle.
Veterans Day Ceremony on campus
Presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Veteran Award and the Husky Marching Band will be part of the celebrations at the annual Medal of Honor memorial event at the end of Memorial Way on Monday, Nov. 11, followed by cake and coffee in Kane Hall. San Antonio Mayor Urges UW Students to Pass on 鈥淏aton of Opportunity鈥�
