MacArthur “genius” Fellow聽 Majora Carter will present聽 on Wednesday, January 22聽 in Kane Hall, part of the Graduate School Public Lecture Series.聽 The lecture is free but are required.

Free artist lecture series at the Henry
Starting January 16th with sculptor and ending March 13th, the School of Art will present seven public presentations by cutting-edge creators and curators talking about their work. All presentations are on Thursdays at 7pm and take place in the auditorium. Please online.
New book by UW English prof and best-selling author coming to the screen
鈥淚 Think You鈥檙e Totally Wrong: A Quarrel,鈥 directed by James Franco, is based on a new book by Professor of English David Shields and former UW student Caleb Powell, ’91. In the picture at right Shields is at center, holding the clapboard. Franco is to his right, Powell at his left.

Re-imagining Aurora Avenue
As part of a new exhibit, , Henry Art Museum is hosting a series of free public meetings that will use Aurora Avenue as a point of departure for conversations about history, culture, urban development, economics, transportation, and civic infrastructure. Three charrettes will take place from 4:30鈥夆撯7:30 pm on Thursdays, starting January 16.
