“Big Bang” moment to be explored with music
In the final open house of the season on October 16, presents 鈥漇ecrets of the Universe Revealed in a Map鈥 and invites visitors to bring a musical instrument to replicate conditions at the moment the universe was created. are strongly recommended.
Learn about Autumn constellations, in Spanish!
On October 2, the UW’s Jacobsen Observatory will present “The Night Sky and the Constellations of Autumn” first in Spanish, at 7 pm, and then in English, at 7:45. Both presentations are family-friendly and suitable for 1st-8th grade Spanish students, with lots of interactive activities. are strongly recommended for all talks.
A new resource – UW Sustainability Map
The 天美影视传媒 is very excited to announce the the first , identifying the locations of sustainable bus stops, green roofs, LEED buildings, car charging stations, e-media collection sites and much more, all across campus. The Sustainability Map is the culmination of two years work by over 25 staff and multiple students representing many different departments and specialties.
Simpson Center for the Humanities announces Charles Johnson award
Professor of English Emeritus聽 will receive the 2013 Humanities Washington Award at the Bedtime Stories literary gala on Oct. 4 in Seattle for his longtime support for the humanities in Washington state.
